Dipytychs
For this project I made three diptychs. The first is two portrait style pictures of my Walt McCarty and Pedro Martinez bobbleheads. Both pictures are pretty close shots of the bobbleheads, with the same striped background, linking them together. The pictures are conceptually unified because they're both of bobbleheads who are former Boston professional athletes. The second diptych is two landscape style pictures of cats, one of which is my cat Gizmo, the other of which is a blue stuffed cat. They are conceptually unified because they are both of cats. The meaning is that real cats are better than fake ones, since Gizmo is fuzzy and cute and the other one is sorta creepy looking. The last two are of native American artifacts we have on our wall. They both have the same setting, and they both utilize shadows for a cool effect.
